My name is Stacey Chen and I am a pet photographer.
I have been an animal lover all my life. I had every kind of pet growing up that my mom would allow (everything but cats and dogs). Like all kids who love animals, I wanted to be a vet, but after a few science classes, I realized that probably wasn’t going to happen. But it was never a question that I would work with animals. Until I could figure out how, I busied myself by volunteering at shelters, fostering kittens and the occasional dog, and spoiling my own pets.
I discovered photography in high school and was hooked. I toyed around with the idea of starting a photography business for years, but it wasn’t until one of my pets got sick that I had the idea to do pet photography. I realized then how important portraits of our pets are, not only to remember them by, but to celebrate them every day. I started Kiwi Pet Photography to give other animal lovers the opportunity to celebrate their furry friends with portraits that capture their joyful nature.
I live with my husband in Fort Lauderdale with our three dogs, two bunnies, three cats, and two tortoises.
